With the holidays quickly approaching, now, more than ever, is the time to protect your hard-earned dollars. With various Christmas shows this month and events after the New Year that make wonderful gifts this season, be sure you’re spending the right amount when purchasing tickets to the Adler Theatre.
We, along with all other event venues, have realized third-party vendors are often doubling or tripling the cost of what the actual ticket price should be. For example, tickets for our upcoming show, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Wild and Swingin’ Holiday Party, start at $31. That same exact ticket, originally $31 through the Adler Theatre Box Office, becomes $64 before fees via a third-party site. Once fees are added on, you’re looking at that same ticket becoming $80.35, a difference of $49.35 per ticket.
Not only do these third-party vendors charge you more in terms of money, you also risk receiving invalid tickets that the Adler Theatre is unable to honor, refunds not being issued for rescheduled or cancelled events, an inability to make changes to the purchase, and you will miss important show information that is distributed to ticket purchasers.
In a continued effort to spread the word and inform the public, the VenuWorks-managed Adler Theatre wants to remind patrons that the ONLY authorized online ticketing platform is Ticketmaster.com or via the Ticketmaster app, or the Adler Theatre website, www.davenportlive.com, which will link you directly to Ticketmaster.
If one would prefer to avoid an online purchase entirely, tickets, and gift cards if you’d like to gift experiences this year but don’t know which ones, can be purchased in person at the Adler Theatre Box Office located at 136 E 3rd Street, Davenport, IA, 52801, which is open Monday – Friday from 10 AM until 5 PM. Please note, the Adler Theatre Box Office has been temporarily relocated across the street in the RiverCenter South Building due to renovations.
