The Adler Theatre and Nederlander National Markets are thrilled to unveil the spectacular 2026-2027 Broadway at the Adler Theatre season! This year, we’re bringing the magic of New York right to Davenport with four highly anticipated local premieres, alongside the triumphant return of a beloved classic. It’s a lineup packed with powerhouse vocals, non-stop laughter, and unforgettable stories.
The season kicks off with the two-time Tony Award-winning hit musical SIX, a high-energy reimagining of the six wives of Henry VIII as global pop icons. Up next is the sensational new musical A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical. Created in collaboration with Diamond himself, it tells the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a show-stopping American rock icon. Then, Davenport is about to get delightfully corny when the smash-hit musical comedy Shucked makes its Davenport debut! This corn-fed, hilarious production is sure to satisfy your appetite for great musical theater. Next spring, ease on down the road to the Adler Theatre for a brand-new production of The Wiz. This groundbreaking twist on The Wizard of Oz changed the face of Broadway, packing the stage with soul, gospel, rock, and '70s funk. Finally, the season concludes with The Bodyguard, a thrilling stage adaptation of the classic 1992 film. Seamlessly blending high-stakes suspense, romance, and Whitney Houston’s unforgettable hits, it’s the perfect grand finale to an incredible season.

The Bodyguard
Based on the 1992 film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, THE BODYGUARD is a thrilling, romantic musical that combines high-stakes suspense with unforgettable music. Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar, Rachel Marron, from an unknown stalker. Both expect to be in charge of their situation - what they don't expect is to fall in love.
